Um, what was this post going to address?  Oh yeah.  Apparently, the lovable SpongeBob Squarepants is some kind of Svengali who saps your childrens’ ability to concentrate:

The cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants is in hot water from a study suggesting that watching just nine minutes of that program can cause short-term attention and learning problems in 4-year-olds.

However, there’s a caveat (a.k.a., a “big but”):

The results should be interpreted cautiously because of the study’s small size … .

Ah, so you’re saying the whole thing could be a load of crap.  Got it.
