    The conservatives took away our ability to do for our country. They were in control all those years and we see what happened. Then they have the gall to blame liberals for everything. The conservatives lie and distort facts, while pandering to the wealthy. For the past 20 years they have had enough power to stop anything the liberals want. Conservatives say no to jobs, education and healthcare for Americans while they want to provide it to Iraq. I was laid off 10 years ago because they thought it was wise to send my job to China, despite their so called opposition to communism. I wanted to be a good citizen by working, paying my taxes, and voting but they managed to destroy all that and call people like me communists, marxists, socilaists. Now we have the likes of Limbaugh telling us that it is unconstitutional to vote for anyone execpt republicans, and many have told me that I have no right to work, have an education, or even have a home and food. They want to tell me where I can work, how much I can earn, if I can have healthcare and education, what religion I can be, and who I can marry(and FYI I recently ended a relationship with a female because her so called Christian church forced me into being homeless. She did not have any opposition as she had started working for them and did not want to jeopordize her job as hte job was more important than the relationship. So much for compassionate conservatism.) A man where I work now complains about his tax dollars being used to pay for law enforcement and a new jail, yet he wants tougher law enforcement. He also believes that the Bush tax cuts created a record number of jobs that pay more than the jobs we lost to outsourcing, but can’t show me any. He also complains about the republican party calling him constantly for donations, but says he will always vote republican.
    The liberals want to give us the power back so we can do for our country as we used to, but republicans say no because they know better how to run our lives than we do. Interesting how today’s republicans never mention the greats we had in the past: Eisenhower, Goldwater, Ford, and Rockefeller. Minus Watergate, Nixon was fairly good. Now their heroes are Reagan, Palin, Bush. It is the reublicans who are scared of the tea party. They are the ones caving in to what the tea party demands.

    @Richard
    Ummm…no words. Still stuck at this statement: “The liberals want to give us the power back so we can do for our country as we used to, but republicans say no because they know better how to run our lives than we do.” How is mandatory healthcare giving us back our power?
