Pro-Life Activist Ryan Bomberger

Washington (Feb 6, 2013)  The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is falsely accusing The Radiance Foundation and its chief creative officer, Ryan Bomberger of “trademark infringement” over an ad campaign that exposes the NAACP’s pro-abortion position.

In response, Radiance and Bomberger, who is black, has asked a federal court to declare that the First Amendment protects their exercise of free speech and that their speech does not infringe on any of the NAACP’s trademarks or other rights. The lawsuit does not seek any damages.

Bomberger has written for several years about the NAACP’s pro-abortion actions, satirically referring to the organization as the “National Association for the Abortion of Colored People.”

“It’s ironic that the nation’s oldest civil rights group is threatening to sue a black man for exercising his most basic civil right—the freedom of speech,” said Bomberger. “This threat of legal action from the NAACP is nothing more than a multi-million dollar organization’s attempt to bully someone who’s simply telling the truth. Our inner-cities are crumbling, two-parent married families barely exist, 72.3 percent of our children are born into homes without fathers, and the NAACP wants to silence me for pointing out its support of abortion.”

Planned Parenthood co-sponsors the NAACP’s annual conventions, and the NAACP has shown its support of the nation’s largest abortion chain by frequently defending it.

Former NAACP President Julian Bond once spoke at a dinner for NARAL and praised the fact that black women have high abortion rates.

Sixty percent of viable black pregnancies are aborted in New York City, the home of NARAL and Planned Parenthood. Statistics show that more black babies are aborted in New York City than are born alive: 1,489 black babies are aborted for every 1,000 born alive.

Good grief!  What is wrong with people?  The full article states that Asian-American students comprise 22% of the student population at Duke, yet one of the students claims they  are “marginalized.”  They should try being Irish. 

I wonder if Duke will ban campus St. Patrick’s Day celebrations……..

Duke University fraternity under fire for Asian-themed party

DURHAM — A Duke University fraternity has been suspended from its national affiliation after complaints about a themed party last week that featured Asian stereotypes.

About 200 Duke students gathered Wednesday to protest the Kappa Sigma party, which was held Friday. The party originally was called “Asia Prime” in social media posts that featured references to drinking sake and an exaggerated, stereotypical language, such as saying “Herro” instead of “Hello.”

In response to student complaints, the fraternity changed the party theme to “International Relations” two days before the event. Still, photos from the party showed mostly white students wearing sumo wrestler costumes and chopsticks in their hair.

That was enough to inspire Duke senior Ting-Ting Zhou, president of the Asian Students Association, to help organize Wednesday’s protest.

“My parents gave up everything they had in China to come here to give me a better life: their language, their culture, their educational recognition, their careers,” Zhou said. Other students “can pretend to be Asian for this one night, for this one party, but I have to be Asian my whole life. It trivializes me! It makes me feel like less than a human being.”
