Proof-positive how naive and uneducated this 99% crew is. "A small loan to start a business?" Anyone with any business sense knows that you NEVER start a business in DEBT! "I want to start my own business so I can make money and work for myself....but I'm paying off this loan to the bank which helped me get my business off the ground..." And folks, THAT is the reason why many small businesses fail in the first year. How the EFF does that make any sense? Sure it makes sense if you don't want to work hard, live frugally, and you want things the easy way....which is all this spoiled, entitled, Twitterbot generation wants. They clearly didn't learn a DAMN THING in college....and yet, we don't see them picketing their colleges. What a joke.... This is in reference to the jackass in picture #2.

Define Rich as to net worth and not yearly income. See below... Adam Smith widely cited as the father of modern economics and capitalism, had a profound effect on the American founding fathers and the nation's economic system. Smith argues in The Wealth of Nations (The great classic work of laissez-faire economics (capitalism)) that free market economies are more productive and beneficial to their societies and government had only three functions: protection against foreign invaders, protection of citizens from wrongs committed against them by other citizens, and building and maintaining public institutions and public works that the private sector could not profitably provide. He also wrote in The Wealth of Nations: The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. They find it difficult to get food, and the greater part of their little revenue is spent in getting it. The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. A tax upon house-rents, therefore, would in general fall heaviest upon the rich; and in this sort of inequality there would not, perhaps, be anything very unreasonable. It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion. In the United States as presented in the Wealth, Income, and Power website (G. William Domhoff), wealth is highly concentrated in a relatively few hands. As of 2007, the top 1% of households (the upper class) owned 34.6% of all privately held wealth, and the next 19% (the managerial, professional, and small business stratum) had 50.5%, which means that just 20% of the people owned a remarkable 85%, leaving only 15% of the wealth for the bottom 80% (wage and salary workers). I believe that a person’s tax obligation to the government should not be based on yearly income, but a person’s net worth, net worth defined for an individual as the value of a person's assets, including cash, minus all liabilities or the amount by which the individual's assets exceed their liabilities. I believe taxes should be based on an individual’s net worth and not annual income. The top 20% who own 85% of the wealth in the USA should pay 85% of the Taxes and the bottom 80% should pay 15 % of the Taxes or put into math terms (USA government budget per given fiscal year ending Dec 31) x (Individual Net Worth per given fiscal year ending Dec 31) / (Total USA Net Worth per given fiscal year ending Dec 31) = Individual Tax owed to USA Government for given fiscal year ending Dec 31. Aside from health issues/disasters, of course. I do not know any of these people so it is hard to sympathize with them. To me they come off as the people that made the "play now and study later" decision and regret it and want someone to blame. Like my long ago roommate who couldn't pay rent because he bought a jet ski instead. Wall St is not evil...Wall St does not have your interest in mind but is not actively trying to screw you. I realize the suffering is real but I wish people would take more responsibility. The people I want to help are the illegal immigrants working crap jobs...working their fingers to the bone. I would happily have my tax dollars or have a tax increase for them versus some new college grad who wants to be an artist/pursue unrealistic dream (aka doing what he wants instead of growing up and do something practical...it is a dream crusher) getting gov aid. Doing what it takes to support families, themselves, their educations, and NOT complaining. So, John, when that dirty bomb finally lands on NYC - and you're running with your iPod and your chihuahua down the road, trying to escape.. maybe then you'll understand why our tax dollars go to protecting our country from homicidal maniacs (the ones that rule other countries as dictators and then sit down at our ivy league universities for tea and crumpets). How dare you bring veterans into this!!! As the wife of a 24 yr Army Veteran - you disgust me!!!!! When have you EVER served your country and your fellow citizens?????? Protesting is NOT serving your country, it's serving your lazy, blame game life. @johngaltisalie

A degree is a degree. Get off your lazy arse, go to a school you CAN afford, live within your means, get a cheap cell phone instead of an iPod 4g, sell your computer and use the free one at the library, go to the grocery store, buy a bag of coffee - learn to make your own instead of paying $5.99 from that da** capitalist Starbucks you're protesting against, but supporting every morning --- and get on with your life. We're all done watching you whine. Did anyone ever hear Oprah Winfrey whine about her hardships? Did she protest and blame the world for her life of poverty & abuse, or did she make something of her life through hard work? Grow up. All of you.
