43% of Americans are Completely Insane

Devin Dwyer at ABS News’s Political Punch blog reports on Gallup’s latest numbers:

A majority of Americans rates President Obama “about the same” or “worse” than his predecessor, George W. Bush, according to a new Gallup poll.

When a random sample of 1004 adults were asked to compare the 43rd and 44th presidents, 34 percent of respondents said Obama had been a worse president than Bush, while 22 percent said he was about the same.

Forty-three percent, a plurality, said they preferred Obama’s handling of the presidency.

So 43% of Americans are living in some kind of tragically inescapable hallucination.  In totally, completely, honestly unrelated news, ABC News ran another story today: “Study Shows More Mental Illness, but Decline in Getting Help.”

Fester sincerely hopes they get help before November 2012.

Just Keep Talking, President O-Blah-Blah

Regular readers of this blog know that we’ve been — shall we say — skeptical about President Øbama‘s much-ballyhooed jobs speech since Obama was still living la dolce vida in Martha’s Vineyard.  Turns out, we’re hardly alone.  First, there was the reaction of the global markets, which basically sucked.  Now, there’s the polling data — which ain’t so hot either.
