Second, there’s the fact that Congressman John Lewis came to speak to the group — and the “consensus” (as interpreted by the leader) was that he should just go away. Now just imagine what the media would have reported if this had been a Tea Party. Third, around the 8:30 mark, someone dissents. Immediately the leader shouts him down by repeatedly yelling “Mic check! Mic check!” as the well-programmed crowd again parrots his every word.
Watch the whole thing and prepare to be creeped out. There is no way in hell that these people represent any more than a fraction of a percent of the U.S. population, let alone 99%. LOL.
How desperate are the Democrats right now? As they watch their popularity tank because they are so head-scratchingly incompetent, they seem to be fomenting some kind of communist revolution/freak show. What losers. When the going gets tough, they lose their cool and start preaching violence.
Fester thought it would be a good time to recap what’s been happening over the last month or so. It seems there’s a theme developing. To-wit:
Class warfare? Suspending elections? Violence? Reeducation camps? Where have we heard this kind of rhetoric before? Hint: We’ve never heard this from the Tea Party. One more hint: We’ve always heard this from the communists.
If you find yourself backing this cabal — which stretches from the hippies of New York all the way to the White House — you need to take a very good look at yourself, because you’re a freaking communist. A great many Americans died to prevent the very thing these Democrats are advocating: i.e., blaming a small segment of society for their woes, taking their wealth by force, and now, literally killing those whom they illogically blame for pretty much everything. It’s absolutely okay to question their patriotism. Despite what they say, they’re not the “99%.” They’re not the “80%.” They’re not even the 10%. They’re the 1% — the filthy, lazy, violent, godless anti-intellectual losers who have no idea what it means to be an American and honestly think “liberty” is just a word.
Fester will leave you with these oft-quoted words from the late, great Robert Heinlein, describing the “rich” people whom communists so despise:
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as “bad luck.”
Oh, one more thing. If you’re really thinking that violence is the way to go, remember that other “revolutions” have never had to deal with the Second Amendment. Something to consider.
Any time a conservative talks tough, the Left claims it’s some kind of secret code for getting violent — a “dog whistle.” But when a leftist overtly calls for violence, these same folks have nothing to say. So what are we to make of President Obama’s speech to the Congressional Black Caucus yesterday?
Now, Fester understands that President Øbama is in serious trouble. Every time he opens his mouth, the economy shudders. (This is what happens when a leftist president seeks to “fundamentally transform” a capitalist society.) But what’s a president to do if his actions are harming the very middle class for which he claims to be a “warrior”? Does he: (1) take a hard look at his policies and find the root cause of their failure; (2) look at previously successful policies and borrow from them; or (3) tell racial minorities to put on their “marching shoes” and rise up those who are “fighting” to “turn back the clock”? Dude, this is Obama we’re talking about.
According to the AP, Obama donned his full faux Southern accent yesterday and started preachin’, y’all:
In a fiery summons to an important voting block, President Obama told blacks on Saturday to quit crying and complaining and “put on your marching shoes” to follow him into battle for jobs and opportunity.
* * *
He acknowledged blacks have suffered mightily because of the recession, and are frustrated that the downturn is taking so long to reverse. “So many people are still hurting. So many people are barely hanging on,” he said, then added: “And so many people in this city are fighting us every step of the way.”
* * *
“Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes,” he said, his voice rising as applause and cheers mounted. “Shake it off. Stop complainin’. Stop grumblin’. Stop cryin’. We are going to press on. We have work to do.”
And let there be no mistake about why Obama thinks people are “fighting [him] every step of the way”:
Last year, Obama addressed the same dinner and implored blacks to get out the vote in the midterm elections because Republicans were preparing to “turn back the clock.”
Read the whole story here.
Consider Obama’s vaguely racist vision of African-Americans sitting there in their bedroom slippers, complaining, grumbling, and crying about unemployment. Also consider his not-so-vague racist vision of whites eagerly plotting to reinstate Jim Crow laws (or who knows what else). And consider his recent claim that he’s a “warrior for the middle class.” Now consider the language he chose to use in his speech to the CBC.
What is Obama trying to accomplish? Does he think that angry marches are going to inspire confidence in the markets?
Until now, this president has been mostly clueless. But he’s now drifting into very dangerous territory.]]>
“Hey everybody, the Republicans say I’m engaging in class warfare! Ha ha, silly Republicans. BTW you guys, I’m a warrior for the middle class!”
So went President Obama’s recent speech in Cincinnati. See the video here, at RealClearPolitics. Let’s put aside the internal incoherence of Obama’s argument. Let’s put aside the shameless and painfully obvious pandering that’s going on here. Let’s look at the record instead.
Remember the time when the Obama administration didn’t raid the Gibson Guitar factories? Remember how the craftsmen weren’t idled, and middle-class employees weren’t threatened with jail time? Remember when Obama didn’t suggest that Joe the Plumber would suddenly become rich once his business made more than $250K a year, and that he’d need to spread the “wealth” around? Remember how well the middle class fared when Obama kept making speeches while unemployment didn’t stagnate and middle-class people had a nearly unprecedented number of new jobs? Remember how Obama didn’t want to limit or obliterate the home-mortgage deduction on federal income taxes? Remember when Obama didn’t seek to impose crushing overregulation on businesses, so they could hire more middle-class workers and lower unemployment? Remember when Obama’s policies didn’t create such uncertainty that the financial markets simply sputtered, causing middle-class citizens to watch their retirement savings dwindle? And remember the time when Obama didn’t choke down on domestic oil production, thus lowering fuel prices for middle-class Americans? Neither do I.
The fact is, Obama has no idea what it’s like to be in the middle class. He’s been coddled most of his life, and now lives in the lap of luxury. To claim he’s now a warrior for the middle class means one of two things. Either he’s full of crap, or he’s a miserable failure.]]>
