Is Occupy Oakland Planning To Take A Building Saturday,November 12?

November 12th, 2011 No comments

It is unclear if they decided for or against the building takeover.  I am especially aghast at the threat of violence against the police.

Occupy Atlanta: Let’s Occupy Interstate “One Percenter Lane”

November 9th, 2011 5 comments

Occupy I-85 Atlanta

These protesters are incredibly silly creatures.   The Occupy Atlanta protesters now find oppression and unfairness in Atlanta’s Peach Pass program which allows car pooling commuters to pay a fee to use a specially designated High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lane created to reduce traffic congestion and commute times.

What’s not clear is how the fools expect to “occupy” a major interstate.  If you have ever been through the interstate system in downtown Atlanta, you will understand me when I say occupying the HOT lane might be a tad dangerous.   Plus, there might actually be a few aggressive drivers who will see this as an opportunity.

Interestingly enough, the protesters are illegally squatting in a foreclosed house in Snellville, Georgia.

Members of Occupy Atlanta and Occupy Gwinnett have found a new cause to turn their anger toward. It’s one that rings the bell for a lot of residents in the county too. The dreaded HOT lane.

The protestors who have taken over a foreclosed home in Snellville sat in a circle Tuesday night outside the home to discuss where they should go from here. Like any water cooler discussion in Gwinnett in the last month, the talk turned to the Peach Pass.

“What a perfect issue for the Occupation movement,” said one protestor.

Occupy Atlanta leader Tim Franzen jumped right on board.

“Peach Pass is like a one percent pass right? It’s like you pay to get a lane,” said Franzen. “We are going to have an action against this one percenter lane.”

Members of Move On Gwinnett were also at the “circle discussion” Tuesday night. But not everyone is on board with the Occupy movement stepping in the HOT lane mess.

“It’s not something we are committing to today,” one woman told Channel 2 Action News. “There are other people working on that.

Occupy Los Angeles Sets Up Kangaroo Court

November 8th, 2011 2 comments

This actually made me laugh.  These people remind me of children playing house or night court or something.   They are constantly trying to re-invent the wheel.  They should really grow up.

First things first.  Apparently, there was some criminal activity reported at the Occupy L.A. encampment.  They were kind enough to notify their fellow protesters via a Facebook post:

But the good news is that the suspect will be forced to face his accusers and stand trial.  Only it’s not any official, legal type court, it’s an Occupy L.A. court – a real live  kangaroo court.  They did not specify how they have kept the suspect from fleeing the encampment.  Perhaps they have opened an Occupy Jail House.  See here:

Doesn’t this seem  like some sort of sharia.  I think we should call it, Occupyria.  There, it’s a new word to describe the Occupy court system: Occupyria

Jackie Mason’s Take On Occupy Wall Street & Herman Cain

Exhibit A

Once again, Jackie Mason hits the nail on the head!  It’s specially good when he compares the Tea Party folks to the Occupy cranks.  It’s kinda long, but worth the listen.

Sixteen Year Old Girl Missing From California Occupy Protests For A Week – UPDATE

November 6th, 2011 No comments

2/16/2011 UPDATE:  First of all, thankfully it appears that the missing teen is back home with her loving family, as her profile is no longer included in the missing children profiles on the Center For Missing and Exploited Children website.  So, that is good news for all.   I wish them the best – and hope that their troubles are behind them.

Apparently Keith Olbermann, in an effort to grab to some attention,  has taken issue with the reports of the criminal elements attending the Occupy events and has picked a fight with the folks at Breitbart for keeping a lengthy, running tally of reported Occupy associated rapes, assaults, and various other types of criminal and unsavory behavior.

Keith erroneously believes he has “debunked” several of these events, one of which included my post about the young  girl who went missing from a California Occupy event.  On a Daily KOS post, after it appears he calls me a liar, Olbermann writes this regarding  my story:

Number twelve: Chula Vista CA. On November 6th, a woman posts on the Occupy Los Angeles facebook page, asking Occupy to help locate her daughter, 16-year old Ashley Springer. The last the woman knew, Ashley Springer was at Occupy-LA. Breitbart does not note that, according to good news from “The Vanishing Kids Coalition,” by December 9th, Ashley Springer was home, safe, sound, and unharmed.

Here’s the screen cap of that  December 9th “The Vanishing Kids Coalition” Face Book post.

Umm, Keith, where does it say ”safe, sound, and unharmed?”  While I certainly hope this is the case, as far as I can see, it only tells the reader that the child has been recovered.  How does this debunk anything?  The child went missing from an Occupy event and stayed missing for over a month.

But more importantly, not only did the child disappear from an Occupy event, the Occupy L.A. Facebook people removed the girl’s mother’s plea for help to find her daughter within hours of her posting it.  Not exactly a helpful thing to do when parents are sick with worry over a missing child.

Found this on another site.   I wonder if this missing girl has been reported to the police or is this another one of those situations that will be handled “internally” by the organizers?  She has been missing for a week and this is the first I have heard of it.  The contact info appears to list the parent contact.

As of just a few hours ago, the mom was posting on the Occupy Los Angeles Face Book page asking for information:

“Consuelo Reyes Springer Hello My daughter is missing I would like to know where I can contact in Occupy thank you

UPDATE: I just checked the Center For Missing and Exploited Children and did not see the girl listed.

Here is more information.  I pray they her find unharmed.

Occupy Oakland Protester Picks Fight With Car – Car Wins

November 3rd, 2011 2 comments

Quite honestly, if an angry, profanity spewing crowd stopped my car and started pounding on the hood, I might be tempted to run them over, too.  But that’s just me.  Be sure to click over to YouTube and read the comments. LOL. I think people are getting a little tired of this occupy crap.

NSFW – language

From The LA Times:

Video uploaded to YouTubecaptured footage of a car striking an Occupy Oakland protester Wednesday night. [Note: The video contains music with explicit language.]

“The BART police were the first responders,” Oakland’s interim Police Chief Howard Jordan said at a late-night news conference. “We got there later. I’m told there were 500 people who surrounded the car…”

Mike Porter, a protester who saw the aftermath of the incident, said people crowded the car.

“We had to calm some people down,” Porter said, because protesters were getting upset.

The injury was not life-threatening officials said. KGO-TV in San Francisco reported that BART Police questioned the driver and allowed him to leave.

“I think he was angry and he didn’t seem to use restraint and he didn’t care,” witness Sunny Bostrom told the TV station.

I can only assume Sunny was talking about the guy that hit.

#OccupyChristmas – “Buy Nothing Day” Is Here!

November 3rd, 2011 1 comment

Ladies and Gentlemen, good Americans, mark you calendars!  Occupy Idiots have declared November 25th as “Buy Nothing Day.”  You do know what this means, don’t you?  It means that we normal folk can shop freely, without the distraction, stench and threat to personal safety created by the occupiers.

Also, there is talk that they will be sending bogus Jesuses and Santas into the malls to “meditate,” so warn your kids.

UPDATE:  Now that I think about it, does anyone really believe that these people will leave the rest of us alone as we shop?

Dreading the holiday season? The frantic rush and stress? The to-do lists and sales hype? The spiritless hours trapped in malls?

This year, why not gather together your loved ones and decide to do things differently? With the simplest of plans you can create a new rhythm, purpose and meaning for the holidays. Why not take the spirit of Buy Nothing Day and morph it into Buy Nothing Christmas?
