Another Case For Educational Reform

November 30th, 2011 No comments

A former public school superintendent received an incredible separation package of over $301,000  for each year of service in her three years of work for the City of Philadelphia.  While this is not the only local school board financial issue of its kind, this situation clearly illustrates the need for school reform.

I believe  that management of  local school boards and budgetary oversight needs to be taken back from the folks who have made such poor decisions.  School districts should be required to  maintain at least one non-educational position dedicated to providing budgetary guidance.

Almost forgot, she is receiving monthly unemployment benefits of over $1,000.

A former Philadelphia school district superintendent  who collected a $905,000 contract buyout from the city has reportedly filed for unemployment benefits.

Arlene Ackerman was reportedly paid the hefty buyout by the school district with taxpayer funds after a plan to use $405,000 in private funds to pay her was cancelled amid public outrage.

The Philly Naked Bike Ride Or Something…….

September 27th, 2011 No comments

As a general rule, I am not a supporter of public naked activities, so please be aware that I am only posting these pictures as a service to our readers at The  Morning Spew.  Apparently, this type of thing is happening more frequently in our towns and cities regardless of the presence of children and normal people.

The Philadelphia Naked Bike Ride 2011 is the first of what is expected to become an annual event in Philadelphia.  Organizers claim the naked bike ride will promote a positive body image and raise environmental awareness.   How nice.   I feel better already, don’t you?

The event involves a bike ride through the streets of Philadelphia where exhibitionists and the like are permitted to ride their bicycles in varying stages of undress.  I am not sure how they can  do this legally, as there was complete frontal nudity by many of the participants.

I find this whole public naked thing to be nasty, stupid and evidence of psychological disturbance.

Apparently, this fellow is the only one who read the directions.

Why, yes, I bet you do.

Move 'em up, head 'em out........ rawhide.
