The Morning Spew » police Politics, Satire & Spew Sun, 08 Dec 2013 06:28:36 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Mentally Challenged Teenager Forced To Take “Cinnamon Challenge” By Police Wed, 22 Feb 2012 03:56:37 +0000 If you are at all like me, you probably know very  little about the so-called, “Cinnamon Challenge.”  After a quick investigation,  I can tell you that the challenge is actually a dare in which the challenger is supposed to swallow a tablespoon of powdered cinnamon without inhaling it, choking or vomiting.  What is supposed to make it so “fun” is that someone videotapes the challenge and then posts the video on the internet.  Sounds like a blast, huh?

This story is about a mentally challenged teenager from Mississippi who was forced to undergo the “cinnamon challenge” by the Chief of Police and four of his staff members while he was performing court ordered community service at the local city hall.  The officials also are accused of beating the teenager up possibly because he told them while in the courtroom that ”they ain’t about nothing.”  I’d say he was right.

According to the story at the Daily Mail, the Chief of Police and the other police and city hall employees who were involved have been fired.

Occupy Wall Street Violence Begins Fri, 14 Oct 2011 13:10:07 +0000

A violent skirmish broke out today in New York City as marching Occupy Wall Street Protesters ignored police orders to prevent them from storming the New York Stock Exchange.

I think most of us knew that this Occupy Wall Street business would not end in a peaceful manner because the violence is a necessary part of the show.  You know the old saying:  It’s funny until someone get hurts, then it’s a campaign tool.

Of course, the fools getting hurt are not the fools who organized this mess.  It’s kinda like the jihadi folks.  It’s never the leaders who call for the violence who get hurt; it’s always the fools who heed their call.

From  CBS News

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Just a few hours after protesters learned they’d be able to stay in Zuccotti Park indefinitely, violence has broken out as a group marched away from it.

A group of protesters were headed south on Broadway toward the New York Stock Exchange. The group swelled quickly and wound up in a confrontation with police as they tried to gain access to Wall Street. A standoff occurred.

Police motorcycles were shaped like a V and moved toward the protesters in the stand off. One man lost his balance, and was run over by a police motorcycle. Police descended on the protester and got him out from under the bike, but violence broke out.

Wall Street Pepper Spray – The Video! Fri, 30 Sep 2011 03:07:45 +0000

This video has been making the rounds and is being  offered as  proof from the lefties that the NYPD pepper sprayed innocent bystanders during the ongoing Wall Street protests.   The New York Daily News reports an investigation into the pepper spraying incident has been launched, and  that anonymous protesters have made public the personal information of the police officer they claim sprayed the women.  Here’s the video:

If you watch the video, you can devise your own theories as to what happened.  Here’s what I think might have happened:  I think the police officer in question saw the innocent bystander women as they were being corralled into the portable orange holding pen  by the police officers and he came over to offer the poor victims assistance.

As he approached the shrieking, hysterical women, he noticed an overwhelmingly  strong stench of B.O.  Seeing that the odoriferous women’s beckoning arms were upright and outstretched, the officer logically thought they were presenting their unshaven, stench laden pits to him for a quick spray of  official NYPD deodorant.

In the midst of all the chaos and obviously not thinking clearly, he mistakenly pulled out his pepper spray canister, thinking it was the coveted spray deodorant they so desired.  What happened next is simply a tragic case of a good intention gone wrong.  Although the officer sprayed the deodorant/pepper spray directly into the hirsute pits of the innocent women bystanders, the wind kicked up and all hell broke loose.

In a state of shock,  the  shaken officer re-holsters the spray canister and wanders back aimlessly into the crowd.  Of course, I am not saying this is what happened, but only that this is what could have happened.  Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video as much as we at The Morning Spew did.  Please feel free to leave your theories as to what you think might have happened in the comments.
